ABOUT DEULTI
Deulti is a village located in the District of Howrah, it is 60 Km away from Kolkata, away from busy city life, at the banks of river Rupnarayan. Deulti is famous for its beautiful view of the natural surrounding and the house of the famous author Late Sarat Chandra Chattopadhyay, which is called Sarat Kutir.
WHAT TO SEE AT DEULTI
Visit Sarat Kutir, the house of the famous author Late Sarat Chandra Chattopadhyay, Sarat Chandra Kuthi also known as Sarat Smriti Mandir is a house museum located in the village of Samta, located 3 KM from Deulti Rail Station, can easily be reached via Road and Rail.
Here you can see old village houses, furniture, and accessories used by Sarat Chandra Chattopadhyay.
You can enjoy walking in the village and also walking and sitting along the banks of River Rupnarayan.
HOW TO REACH DEULTI
By Road: Deulti can be easily reached via Road, drive along the second Hooghly Bridge and take the route of the Kona Highway, after some time you will reach National Highway 6. Drive along the NH6 to pass Panchla, Uluberia, Kulgachhia, Chandpur, and Bagnan, and finally, you will reach the Deulti crossing.
By Train: Deulti can be reached easily by boarding a local train from Howrah, running on Mecheda, Medinipur line. Reach Deulti Station and from there you will get ToTo to Sarat Kuthi.
