How to reach Pelling Sikkim from Siliguri / New Jalpaiguri(NJP).
- A reserved car from Siliguri / NJP takes around Rs 4500.
- Share car is not available from NJP but share a car for Pelling is available from Siliguri SNT bus stand and the fare is Rs 800 per head.
- The bus is also available from SNT bus stand and the fare is Rs 180 which leaves at 10 AM
Pelling to Siliguri or New Jalpaiguri (NJP) bus is available from the Upper Pelling bus stand at 7 AM, and from there Shared Cab is also available for Siliguri.
Here I will try to a share Pelling Tour Itinerary for 4 Days 3 Nights or 3 Days 2 Nights.
DAY 1: Reach NJP/Bagdogra Airport, and take a cab to reach Pelling, shared cab service is available from Siliguri SNT Stand. From NJP it’s a 5 hrs. drive via Sevoke Road to reach Pelling. On the way you can visit Kali Mandir near the coronation Bridge also along the road, you will enjoy the view of the beautiful Teesta River running alongside the road. On the way, you will also see the Triveni River Rafting point where you can enjoy Rafting in the Teesta River. At Meli Checkpost you need to show an ID card to enter Sikkim. You can take a break during the journey and have your lunch in the roadside Dhaba.
After reaching Pelling check in then freshen up and then if you have time then take a walk near the upper, middle, or lower Pelling or you can relax in your room with a refreshing coffee and watch Mt Kanchenjunga from your hotel room.
You can have some evening snacks, there are not many options for street food in Pelling but there are good restaurants at Lower & Upper Pelling where you will get good food, the street foods available here are Noodles, Momo, Chinese fast food, etc. In between book your car for the next day’s sightseeing.
DAY 2: You can watch the sunrise and enjoy the majestic Mt Kanchenjunga, have breakfast, and go sightseeing, On the first day of sightseeing view the following places. Try to start as early as possible to cover the maximum spots. The fare for one-day sightseeing is between 3500-4500, depending on the points you chose.

DAY 3: If you are planning for Pelling 3 Days and 2 Nights Tour, then you can consider the following plan.
On day 3 you can visit the rest of the tourist places, which are as follows, and then take a drop to NJP / Bagdogra.
- SANGA CHOELING MONASTERY
- PEMAYANGTSE MONASTERY
- RABDENTSE RUINS PELLING (It takes 1.5 Hrs. – 2 Hrs to reach the site)
- Have lunch at GEYZING
If you are interested to visit Ravangla Buddha Park and Namchi Chardham, then you can skip the above spots and visit Ravangla & Namchi on the way to NJP.
The cab fate in both plans will be from 6000-7000.
DAY 4: If you are planning for Pelling 4 Days and 3 Nights then you can visit the remaining spots on Day 3 and on the fourth day visit Ravangla and Namchi on the way to NJP.
Shared Pelling Sightseeing: Pelling Sightseeing does not have a share option, need to book the full cab, yes you can talk to the hotel and if any other boarders are interested then you can create a group.
